Artists CHIME in for a Good Cause
Markus Schulz, Moby, Orbital, Lemon Jelly and Philip Glass have all come together on the new blocks game for charity, ‘Chime’.
‘Chime’ is an exclusive Zoe Mode production for OneBigGame, the videogames industry-wide charity initiative. The game pits gamers against the melody in this all-new puzzle experience. Players place blocks against the clock, remix famous artists’ music and contribute to children’s charities around the world.
What this means is that for once, aside from just contributing a few pounds to your belly and watching your productivity levels decrease by the minute, you can ALSO contribute to children in need. Finally, an excuse to play videogames and not feel like a vegetable with limbs.
All the artists have donated their tracks pro bono to ‘Chime’. All net proceeds will go to the Save The Children and Starlight’s Children Foundation charities. Save The Children is an independent charity that works for the rights of children who are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection while Starlight’s Children Foundation is dedicated to help seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. More than 60 percent of the purchase price of ‘Chime’ will be donated to charities around the world, helping people who really need it most.
‘Chime’ was released today and is available on Xbox Live Arcade.
