The Gallery started off 2010 on fire and isn’t planning on putting out the flame any time soon. With week after week of world class DJs walking through The Gallery’s doors why would February 5th be an exception? It’s not.

The Gallery presents Italian DJ and producer, Mauro Picotto and the talented Slovenian producer, DJ Umek.

Check out what the good people over at The Gallery had to say about this event and don’t forget to show your pretty face on Friday February 5th.

Our first Gallery outing for February brings something a little on the techno side of life. After several hugely successful visits last year we are delighted to be welcoming back the Italian tour de force of all things tech Mr Mauro Picotto and Slovenian producer-DJ Umek, one of the biggest names around – his brand of techno has always blown the roof off The Gallery!

UroÅ¡ Umek is internationally acclaimed for seducing the masses with his own music blend for more than a decade. Always on the look for new sounds and determined to challenge every existing cliché in the music industry, he managed to define his own vision of vanguard techno. Sure, this would not happen without the support of his loyal peers who’ve joined him on the production platforms such as Recycled Loops, Consumer Recreation and Astrodisco, with which they defined the “Slovenian techno sound” and successfully invested it as an important driving force on the global club scene. Last year’s releases like ‘Is it / Longer Trail’, ‘Destructible Environment’, ‘S Cream’, ‘Designed Persona’, ‘You Might Hear Nothing’ and the latest club hit ‘Work This Data’, have caught the attention of Armada, Hell Yeah, Tronic, Dataworx and other massive labels. Judging by his 2010 plans it looks like Umek isn’t going to run out of creative fuel for quite some time!

Mauro Picotto returns to The Gallery after another massive night on his previous visit. The Italian purveyor of techno has had another huge summer with his Meganite brand doing the business each and every Wednesday at the enormous Privilege club. With another Meganite compilation out and a stream of tech infused tunes Mauro continues to tour the world over and has brought his Meganite brand to a whole heap of festivals. Always one to deliver some of the best music we witness at The Gallery, we implore you to check out one of dance music’s most legendary producers on one of his rare visits to these shores.

The Box is rounded off with Gallery residents Gavyn Mytchel and The Viceroy who will be finishing the night off in style. Meanwhile The Bar welcomes Godskitchen resident Paul Thomas who has been creating some mega waves of late with a steady stream of massive productions alongside Marc Vedo and Gallery favourite Graeme Lloyd.
