DJ Mag’s Official Top 100 DJs of 2009
For the third year in a row, Armin Van Buuren was crowned the number 1 spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list.
After an incredible year filled with sold out gigs worldwide, his 72 hour live ASOT 400 celebration featuring massive guest DJs, and his ‘A State of Trance’ radio show that consistently brings in millions of listeners every week, Van Buuren most definitely earned his #1 spot. His reaction to taking home the gold? “I’m thrilled and deeply honored, it feels like winning a gold medal at the Olympics,” he says.
Tiesto remains in the second spot while David Guetta knocked Paul Van Dyk to number 5 by setting up shop with the big boys in the top 3.
