Grammy-logoWe’ve just been giggling at the Grammy nominations for 2009.

As usual the yanks are in their own little world nominating Kylie for best dance album (and we don’t mean the actual dance remix album we were on about earlier in the week).

Also, Daft Punk’s ‘Harder Faster Better Stronger’ somehow makes it in the best dance recording catergory thanks to its inclusion on the Alive 2007 album (We’re not doubting the tracks credentials but surely it really came out in 2001). Hot Chip’s ‘Ready for the Floor’ and Sam Sparro’s ‘Black and Gold’ rightly also make the dance shortlist.

A final nominations of note is Diplo and Switch’s work on MIA’s ‘Paper Planes’ which is up for Record of the Year. Our fingers are crossed for you guys.
