Review: Santos de España (Original mix) by Roberto Cusimano on Whist Records
This is a deep progressive track which obviously isn’t a good thing to play when you are doing a wedding gig. But if you are in a club, this tune may fit right in, whether your night is Funk House, Progressive House or just chill out. Nothing amazing about the intro or buildup but some business meaning breaks through the song make you realize this may just be the track you were looking for when you looked for that track to take your set from the soft side to the hard side, and vice-versa. Of course this track may get boring but as a dj I trust you to use it well since it needs an extra spice in the evolving parts of its being, nevertheless if you get it right, you’ll be praised as a god, or a dj. I was missing some kind of evolvement in this tune but I wouldn’t fail it from playing because of evolvement or therelack of one. I would suggest some handling in a loop machine and planning this tune very good before playing it. It will take some practice or some alcohol to make it sound amazing. But remember, the break is awesome!
