Killer parties in Ibiza 2008
Partying can be a dangerous thing, especially when you over do stuff you shouldn’t be it legal or not, you should always remember your limits.
Last weekend a 25 year old Scottish man, Paul Burns collapsed and died in his hotel room in Ibiza after O.Ding on alchohol and drugs. the Glasgow Herald reported Paul Burns was the third fatality that week, but the ninth on the long run count of 2008.
Local tourism chief – Jose Ramon Serra said
“This man died from a respiratory deficiency supposedly after consuming drugs and alcohol [...] Drugs are a cancer in society. We regret this death and only hope that we do not have any more of this type.”
Michael Robertson, a 23 year old UK resident, died in the budget resort two weeks prior to Paul Burns death also from overdosing, on the three most common party drugs you can get practically anywhere in Ibiza; ecstasy, alcohol and cocaine. Two months before Micheal a 19 year old Brit died in July, over dosing on 7 pills of ecstasy and god knows how much coke.
Carla Newman, a 22 year old nurse from South Shields also died in Ibiza last week, this time, extreme sports was the cause of death, she fell to her death while climbing between two second floor hotel balconies.
The list is long and will keep getting long until people start to moderate their drug use (I support use, but I definitely disapprove abuse) and get some common sense. If you’re already in a dream island, surrounded by pretty ladies and loud speakers, at least try to make it safe, so you may get back home in one piece and have all of your friends eat their hearts.
