MinimatracxIf I was to name a sub-genre after this track, I would call it Deeprog-Tech House. Frankyeffe’s track In My Eyes is not exactly Tech-House, nor is it Progressive or Deep, it kind of fits right in the gray area in between the three, and it does that comprehensively. It covers the basic build-up and elements of Prog whilst combining the bass of Deep and eventually the over-all feeling and groove of Tech.
In the first few times I’ve listened to this track I felt really lost “What? How come he put this part here??” and the more I’ve listened, the more I understood – There is no spoon.
This tune is exactly the one to take your spoon away when you want to dazzle your dancers and make them think twice before they start jumping around, as they might just need to make their brain work during this one.
It is quite intelligent for your regular hands-up ravers but if you’ve go and play it to the right listeners, they will thank you. Over-all a pretty nice intelligent tech tune, use it wisely.
